Matchmaking issues

I’ve noticed recently that the game really struggles at certain times to fill games with players (UK PS5 crossplay off), I know people will say just to turn crossplay back on but I don’t believe it’s due to a lack of players!  For example I can search close quarters and find it is a lobby with a handful of players waiting whilst it endlessly tries to find more players but I can quit that search and start again and straight away be in a different lobby with the same situation and so on, there seems to be a endless amount of lobbies all the same with a handful of players all waiting for there lobby to fill, surely this has to indicate a issue with the matchmaking system where it should be pulling them players together to create a full game, I’m not searching with filters just normal CQB attrition, but the same applies to all the modes where there seems to be a abundance of lobbies all sat waiting to fill all of which are half filled with players.
