To answer your questionBigBoy777jjs , they said in their Discord Q&A that the matchmaking is purely ping/region based, but once you’re in a lobby, it will try to balance the teams by KD/level average
Yep and obviously your map selection if you use Custom Search.
But unfortunately the tin foil hat folk will continue to believe battlefield 6 has heavy SBMM when matchmaking.
to play devils advocate, it would explain the bizarre multi-ghost-lobby behavior from the post I linked, if there was SBMM, and each lobby in the same reason was in a different skill tier
but no, it’s definitely not true, I look at people’s KD randomly and see 0.2 all the way up to 6.5 all in the same match
