Memory leak after latest update | unplayable

Subject: Memory Leak Issue After Latest Battlefield Update

Message:

After the latest update, I am experiencing massive memory leaks in Battlefield on my laptop (16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX, AMD Ryzen 9 7000 series). The game freezes and eventually crashes, even before gameplay starts.

Steps I have already tried to fix the issue:

  1. Closed all unnecessary background programs (Teams, Discord, browsers, CCleaner, etc.)
  2. Disabled all overlays (Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, NVIDIA Overlay)
  3. Verified integrity of Battlefield game files via Steam
  4. Reinstalled/ran EAAntiCheat installer in the Battlefield folder
  5. Enabled Windows Game Mode and paused Windows Defender scanning
  6. Restarted PC multiple times
  7. Checked Task Manager: high RAM usage persists (~14+ GB)
  8. Ensured EA Background Service is running and set to Automatic

Despite all these steps, the game still crashes due to memory leaks.

I would like this issue to be investigated and resolved as soon as possible, as it is currently unplayable.

Anyone having the same issues?

I haven't been able to play the game at all since they released Season 2. Game crashes to desktop a couple minutes into any round. I've tried all troubleshooting avenues suggested. The game is broken. How have they not addressed this yet?
