Please please don't turn this great game another cod. This is grounded game as you say and nobody ever has bunny hopped or slided time after time and shooted accurate IRL.
Realistic movement is way to go.

Agree, decrease movement speed by 20% at least so walking feels like walking and running is actually running. There are skills, weapons, and gadgets that boost speed in top of how fast it already is. Maps are small so please slow down the game.
Ps the speed on 2042 fit it cause maps were huge and maps were sniper heaven but BF6 is the complete opposite in this specific area so movement needs to slow down
