My experience in jets...1st time flyer in BF

God Awful Experience.

I have 37,000 kills in this game, 6,000 revives, like 800 hours played.  Probably 700 hours in Star Citizen, so im not a total noob to flying or this game.

I have for 3 nights straight, done nothing but flown jets.  I have flown mouse and keyboard, Controller, Joystick, and Joystick and Mouse all.

  1. The click game.   How is it even possible, that a triple A title has a system where players sit at the map screen, and have to spam to spawn in a vehicle, sometimes spamming THE ENTIRE ROUND without ever setting for in a jet or the game itself.   Its horrendous.   I cannot believe all these pilots have not raged to the heavens to have some system in place, so a person can be on the ground fighting and then deploy into the jet at a given time.
  2. Redeploying at beginning of matches.   Are we serious?  Sometimes in Conquest I have seen 6 or 7 players die at spawn at beginning of match...I realize now, these are pilots.  That is absolutely a broken system if players have to do that to try to get a vehicle.   It is the total opposite of what a game should push players toward.
  3. Badge progression for a beginner pilot.  It's horrendous.  I could level from level 390 to 400 for my max player character BEFORE I can level 10 levels in a jet mastery.   Jet gameplay is like having to learn an entire other game.   The progression for a non-pilot is absurd in a mode like conquest.  First you spend half your time clicking, hoping to get in, then seconds to a minute or two before you are doing it again.   Nothing else in the game is a totally different game.  You have to literally go play on portal servers for hours just to get controls straightened out for your preference.
  4. Lock-on missles.  I have flown so low THE LANDING GEAR COMES OUT and I am still targeted and locked on.
  5. Spawning:  How many times I have spawned and there be a jet IN MY FACE off spawn.
  6. Affect on Games:   I'm sure many of you saw the duo between the "best two pilots in BF6" play together and go like 200-1 and their team STILL LOST.   So, what impact does a novice pilot have on a game?   Absolutely ZERO EFFECT.   In fact, you have the opposite, you have 6 novice pilots on a team sitting in the map screen spamming the spawn button while their team gets ran over.  I don't play conquest, it's too casual these days, but I did for years in other BF games.  I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY MATCHES where one team has only 1 flag or 0 flags and the match ends.  some of that has to do with players not caring who wins, but I believe a large part of that IS THESES MATCHES HAVE A TON OF PLAYERS TRYING TO GET INTO A JET.   And then when they do, they have 0 impact on the game.
  7. I have every bronze badge, half of the silvers, just lacking airplanes on bronze.   So, while it may be easy to say, players shouldn't do this, badges are locked behind this system.
  8. For the love of god.  Put in AN OFFICAL TDM airplanes only that awards mastery xp so players can go there to go free up this system and not ruin someone like me experience with the game overall.  I have literally raged more in the past 3 days doing this than the entire time I have played this game.  JUST TO GET A BRONZE BADGE.
  9. ITS A SHT SYSTEM OVERALL.

  • +1 It sucks to be a pilot in BF6 in even more ways than what you described

BF5 was the last game where a pilot mattered for the outcome.

I am going to add to this after more playing.

    10.  When you are not a pilot everyday, and you try to level to basic badge levels, because there are only 2 jets on a map, and only one game mode to play, guess where all the everyday pilots are?  IN YOUR LOBBY.   So, you are forced into a 1v1 or 1v2, in what is effectively a different game, against people with hundreds of hours in that game, and you have like 0 hours played.  Imagine if everyone had to be forced to play a guy with a 5k/d 1v1 all day long to level his gun....pretty sure the game would not exist.

    11.   There are 2 different jets, with 2 separate badges.  Which means to earn a bronze badge in a jet, it's actually double the xp that it takes to level a gun, yet a jet is a jet is a jet.   So, when you complete one badge, guess what!!!  You get to now spam only one jet for hours, and ignore the other one.

    12.  Its a sht system overall.
