Skin Packs are too expensive

Hi,

I know you want to make money... but who, apart from well-paid people, can afford that in the long run?

I have no idea what the current total is, but if you've bought all the packs since release, you would have had to invest an additional 300-400 bucks on top of the full price!? I find that pretty crazy.

For example, I have absolutely no interest in stickers, profile pictures, skins for rocket launchers, or weapon charms.

If the soldier skins or weapon skins were sold separately for a reasonable price, you would certainly sell more than if people had to pay over 20 bucks for a package.

Let's take the Lights Out bundle as an example. I'd like to buy the Saito skin, the TR7 skin, and a patch. But I don't see the point in buying the whole bundle for over 20 bucks. I don't need or want anything for my profile or a parachute skin or a soldier skin with louvers (lol) and four eyes xd.

So instead of making some money, you're making none at all. I think a lot of people feel the same way.

Cheers

20 bucks???? Is nothing.... where are you? In the Phillipines?

  • I remember discussing mtx in BFV with the devs and CM at the time and they pretty much all agreed lower prices would equate to higher overall sales but unfortunately nothing ever came from that.

While I can afford the packs, there are just going to be other, possibly cooler ones almost immediately after so it can be hard to maintain their "worth" in my opinion

Europe - The most expensive packs so far were 2400 coins, which is equivalent to 20 euros in Europe.

It's not about whether 20 bucks is nothing. 20 bucks can be a lot or a little, depending on the region or income. And regardless of whether I can afford 20 euros or not, I simply don't see the point in spending 20 euros for one skin and ten pictures. I would rather spend 2-3 euros (for example) on a skin so they would have earned something than nothing at all, because I'm not going to spend 20 euros into these packages, even though I'm only interested in one thing.

And you have to look at it as a whole: if you want all the skins, you currently have to spend 300-400 (estimated), and it will increase rather than decrease each season. Which I find excessive for on  full price game.

And I think many people (not just me) would rather buy skins only than these packs with pictures etc. They can leave the packs in the game, but at the same time the skins should be sold individually.

    That's just my thought.

(I wrote bucks because I don't know the exact prices per region and all currencies.^^)

  • I never buy packs or skins -- after all, you cannot see what you are dressed in !!!

  • Let's think in relative terms here. 20 bucks is around 1/3 of the price of the base BF6 game...

What you get is an operator skin (often only on Nato/Pax side), weapon skins that are only usable on 1 gun (and don't mix well with camo's + you should also consider if that gun is actually any good), then some crap that's worth nothing at all and should just be given away to incentivise players to unlock challenges.

BF6 did a good job pulling COD players away from COD. But the same players are now returning to COD because the skins and operators are more shiny there anyways.

BF6 should just focus more on BF players and what they want: Good maps, vehicles, guns and most importantly good gameplay.

I totally get what you're saying. However the skins has been as they always been since battlefield V when skins actually became a thing. I think it gives opportunity for everyone to not be running around with the same skins. If its really not affordable I think guys shouldnt focus on the store. Just try to enjoy the broken game as best as you can. If they drop the prices on the skins trust me I would own everything in that store. I respect the fact sometimes I have it.... sometimes I dont🤷‍♂️ and since cod was mentioned their skins are literally the same price. Might be allot more to them but the pricing is firm. In other titles as well. Rainbow 6 siege, fortnite, insurgency, pubg etc.
