I agree. The current accuracy penalty for bunny hopping or jump-canceling doesn't feel significant enough, especially since these engagements typically occur at close range where accuracy penalties have less impact.
While players unfamiliar with the movement may find it inconsistent, in practiced hands it is extremely effective and arguably too strong. The mechanic currently offers a substantial evasive benefit with relatively little downside.
Rather than increasing accuracy penalties further, consider adding a weapon draw or ready-up speed debuff after a jump or slide. This would preserve movement freedom while introducing a meaningful tradeoff, making bunny hopping a higher-risk offensive tactic rather than an almost universally beneficial one.
