I've been playing the new map exclusively for a couple of days, and it's a hard disagree: if you follow the flow of battle, the action is pretty constant, at the objs and on the lanes in-between. Sure, if you're just going to be traveling between two blue objs, you're in for a long walk for nothing, but then, maybe you shouldn't do that? Follow your team and it's hard to be bored.
And the traveling time between most "adjacent" objs is actually marginally longer than on other large maps, especially when you use all the shortcuts (ziplines, jumping from high points, all the vehicles that spawn here and there...). You do need to learn which points are actually close to each other, though, it's not always obvious from the get-go:
We've just captured Escalation H and I see G is red: let's go get G right, that should be the next point? Except G is miles away, F would be much closer. HUD does not tell you distance, so you just have to learn the layout.
Don't get me wrong, it may still play fine 64 vs 64, although that then also raises the question of getting enough players for a match to start when the map isn't the shiny new thing anymore.

Bring out your "F" knife when you run to move around much faster.
People ARE asking for more jet-skis and more rib-boats etc to spawn on points when taken (and HQ in the start) so i bet that will arrive when Wake arrive and will make it so moving around is a bit faster on reef also.I myself always run with "F" knife out, Find the highest peak and parachute between points so i feel its just fine for me or spawn on people that are close to where i wanna go.
