No counter to thermals?

Question

Even in BF4, a game made over 12 years ago, the Devs way back then had the foresight and intuition to add a proper counter via Flares as a grenade option. As a bonus the flares also added a smoke screen for concealing movement versus all enemies.

If you’re going to add any capability in game, there needs to be viable counters.

I use thermal and smoke completely blocks it.

Have you actually tested all the possible counters, like flashlights, lasers, incendiary grenades, smoke grenades, etc?

In the item description for Flashlight it says “blinds enemies but does not effect Thermals”.&nbsp;
