Is this an update to get rid of the sniper scope glint or is there a glitch that I don't know about?, I know that using iron sights gets rid of the glint but not everyone is using iron sights, since the new sniper rifle was introduced the sniper glint has seemed to disappeared, is the decoy actually working now? Is there an attachment that is glitching the glint? Or is it just bugged? If someone could let me know I'd really appreciate it.
Yeah I'm definitely missing a trick, I also think they should put the PSR back to the way it was before the nerfed it with the addition of the L115 now
It probably isn't that attachment, then. The only other thing I can think of at the moment, other than it being a game issue, of course, is that people are using the trick with the decoy where it's placed prone. That way, it can be hidden behind a rock or wall so it's not visible, but still provides the benefit of concealing the glint.
Yeah I've got the anti glare coating and it shrinks the glare but doesn't totally get rid of it ( which I think it should ), and the decoy does seem to work properly now, but that still has a torch affect that everyone shoots at, but I've been getting shot by snipers with absolutely no glint or glare ( completely invisible) and the only way you can do that was to use iron sights, but I'm not having that people can consistently hit head shots at over 120m with iron sights, it all started with the L115 which should have the biggest glint of all because of it's long range, but thank you for commenting much appreciated, I'll try to use the sniper rifles on other classes.
It could also potentially be people using the anti-glare attachment.
If a decoy is within like 8 meters or something it hides your glint. I think that other classes using sniper rifles don't have a glint either. There's nothing new I'm aware of in S3 that changed anything regarding this. I think they claimed to have done something to stop decoys from just phasing out of existence when placed, but that was a lie because it still happens.
And yes, it's completely OP and allows you to set up shop in good areas without just getting blasted for pressing RMB. Though there are still bullet trails that will give your location away, and a console player just spamming ADS will eventually just lock on to you through god and they can blast you across the map with any weapon.
