Please see this in good faith:
You’re not ‘bad’ or ‘whining’—your brain is mourning the death of the Battlefield you loved while rage-quitting the impostor in its place.
Frustration-induced cognitive dissonance mixed with grief over a lost "golden era". In addition, Sunken-Cost Grief is also normal regarding the years and years of muscle memory wasted and not transferred to this new game.
Possible solution, is maybe go have a go of the BF version you loved for a trip down memory lane, then take a break till more content comes out (bots) and except in your own mind if your going come back your coming back to have a good go at "CODField".
You are never going to play online without the KD-obsessed players. (e.g. I've been in games with "KD infected" friends and they laughed hard at my 0 kill 15 deaths regardless of me having a good game trying different classes and a sledge hammer out).
BF's golden era had squad-committed players, its gone. It doesn't exists anymore in any game especially for the solo/duo players. But that's not the games fault or developers fault, its the great unwashed peoples fault.
WildPods Hello.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post and responding to it so eloquently.
I agree with everything you have stated, and yes, I am in mourning I think, but not just for the "Golden Era" either, I am just not that keen on the run and gun thoughtless type of playing, mixed with the bunny hopping, sliding all over the place playing technique.
I am also aware there are other Mil Sims out there, but, when they stated "We have listened and are going back to Battlefield roots" then I did have high hopes.
But alas, we have this, which is not what I was hoping it would be from what they said in the marketing and advertising.
Because I paid good money for the game, I will persevere in the hope that it does change into something at least close to what it was supposed to be.
Oh for the good old days. Reviving, Dropping ammo, Playing the objective, Trying to get an edge by Flanking, and lastly, Teamwork . . . . .

Check out old BF1942, BF2, and BF3 on YouTube—you'll spot the similarities. Then jump to BF6; in many ways, it's the same old shovel, just different dirt.
Maybe you might click, if not I can imagine we will both be back on 1943 maybe see I'll you there.
