Closed weapons, no thanks.
I am very happy about this, and I am glad they make a decision based on what's best for the game and majority of players rather than listening to the fewer so called "old time veterans" that shouts the loudest on the forums.
This is what they wrote in the article:
"Lastly, another key insight from the Open Beta was that the vast majority of players, after trying both playlist types, chose to stick with Open Weapons. This reinforces our belief that Open Weapons is the right path forward for Battlefield 6. At the same time, we recognize that some players prefer the Closed Weapons experience. To support them, official Closed Weapons playlists will be available at launch."
This means they have data that confirms majority of players that tried both playlists ended up playing open weapons. Me included. It would not matter if the closed playlist was the "default" or not, I would still have chosen the same. I tried closed weapon playlist first during the open beta, but it is just a worse experience for me.
