Totally agree, but maybe with a little more differentiation. Currently, I do think that auto aim is strong, yes, but not completely broken. I'd say, a good KBM gamer will still win >70% of the gunfights against console players (and there are good pretty skilled console players as well). So its not like Dice gave them a spinbotting rage hack. BUT:
In my opinion the other 30% of the fights are still a serious problem because being killed by a an aim assist player is actually distinguishable from being killed by a KBM player (at least in many many cases). So, in the end, its not only coming down to GIVING a player group A (basically) cheats to be able to compete with player group B. For the players of group B it also FEELS like being cheated on.
Especially, if Youtube etc. are currently flooded with videos like "[Broken] Fix your Aim with these settings" and so on.
But, summarized: if you need to give one player group cheats to compete to another, then just dont let them play against each other. It's pointless unless you want to play with your friends --> just make it optional :)

Ultimately, I strongly dislike being forced to play with players using a different ruleset. It's impossible to 'balance' that.
Input method-based matchmaking is the way forwards - you can play BF6 with MKB on the consoles too.
