Player choice is needed.

After playing BF6 on release, I have come to the realisation that this is once again a hero shooter like 2042 and Call of Duty. With the current state of the game, there should be a choice of body type A and B, along with voice type masculine and feminine, and race. Now, I understand there have been many discussions on here regarding this, but the real truth is ugly and hasn’t been realised until I loaded up the game for the first time. Cosmetics aren’t locked behind classes; they’re locked behind one character within a single squad on a single team, which means when the store goes live and we have the ability to purchase optional cosmetics, it’ll be set to whom we can use that cosmetic on.

This also wouldn’t be a hard change to implement, as the body types, voice type, nationality, and races already exist within the game from the characters that have already been made and scattered about the classes, squads, and teams. 

With the changes made to the game mentioned above, it’ll give the player base a choice to be who they want to be. Cosmetics can remain locked behind each class, along with squads remaining as they are, as that will technically give you a choice of what your nationality depends on the squad or team your character belongs to, but in the end, it really comes down to the choice of who you want to be without being locked behind a class, squad, and team, giving you the freedom to be that soldier that is on the front lines, and I know for a fact I am not the only person that wants this change to be implemented.

I also want to mention that I guarantee a large amount of the player base doesn’t even realise there’s a bio for each character, but that also ties into the fact that these aren’t soldiers and they are in fact a “hero character,” and making you do challenges to unlock different characters really shows that you all will look the same and play the same “hero” at all times, no matter what has been said in the past.
