DICE need decouple the damage curve from bullet types

I think DICE should really consider decoupling the damage curve from bullet types. It feels like they're just doing it because they don't want to bother with fine-tuning—not for the sake of realism. In real life, bullet damage depends on bullet shape, muzzle velocity, impact angle, wind speed, and even the target's size or build. Besides, games don't have to be 1:1 with reality anyway. Decoupling that would actually open up way more weapon variety.

  • I honestly would be fine with this. It's a cute thing to tie caliber to damage, but some more differences would be fine, if not with the current guns, maybe future ones.

  • I agree. Not decoupling damage curves and bullet types definitely cause balancing issues. For example, when an OP gun gets nerfed, it also brings down other guns that aren't OP just because they share the same bullet type. I still hope DICE would give each weapon its own unique stats, just like they did in 2042.
