Agree with the scripting point, would much prefer writing text over having to wrestle with nodes.
Another feature that could be awesome would be a Empty/Flat map, although we don't know what memory constraints we will have with the spatial editor, I would hope that we can opt for an empty map which would increase that memory limit.
