Portal SOVIS control ?

Probably an unpopular idea here, but I'd like it if you could set a 'no SOVIS filter' option for a portal server. It would be aimed towards Hardcore primarily.

I hate that in these games everyone stands out more in a dark corner than they do out in the sun. I'd love to play with it off but I don't like the disadvantage it creates as an individual.
