Portal w bots = no progression. Core game modes w bot = full progression

Do I have that correct?  So Portal modes like Hardcore Conquest that have players and that backfill w bots means zero progression but Core game modes not in portal that backfill with bots, which...

I've not seen a  single bot in official matchmaking for closed weapons AOW in 2 days 🤞

They weren't giving xp when the servers were half full of them though, at least I got a lot less xp in lobbies half full of bots than I did in a lobby full of people.
