Portal/Sdk Help

Okay I was working with the SDK last night to play around with the map maker and try to create a map.

And I'm trying to figure out a way that I can test the map before I submitted it or published it Etc.

With no success I've tried going to the portal website and running through the gamut of setting up and hosting the map.

When I import the map directly it says spawn points not selected or something like that.

It's unpublished but when I go to my experience inside the game I don't see the file there.

Also I noticed during the running the gamut of setting up a hosted game or whatever it says up at the top that I need to buy some type of content or some type of add-on in order to test the map but it doesn't say what?

How can I test the map that I just made without having to publish it

  • Try with levels from examples first (open/import .tscn via godot editor, then export as JSON which is used on website for specific Map at "map rotation section"). I guess your custom version built from scratch lacks some crucial setup.

  • To open sample in godot copy "..\PortalSDK\mods\Vertigo\Vertigo.tscn" to dir with other levels: "..\PortalSDK\GodotProject\levels\"

P.S. Vertigo is for Liberation Peak (Tajikistan)
