PS5 turn off cross play

BF6 was designed specifically for PC.  It’s not a console game.   You are at a distinct disadvantage on a console.  Several reasons including the most basic being fps.   The PC player sees you before you see them.  PS5 Is paying the same amount for a game that is not truly comparable.

Thanks for posting. This has definitely been a topic the community continues to raise, and the team recently shared a response. You may want to refer to it for more context on the team's current thoughts.

Question: With the introduction of console-only crossplay as a feature of REDSEC Ranked, is the team considering bringing console-only crossplay as an optional setting to the core multiplayer experience, given how frequently it has been requested by console players since BF 2042 and how common it has become in other FPS titles?
Answer: We have discussed a "console-only" option, but there are drawbacks to having this, mainly, it adds another matchmaking pool for our players.
We do always try to prioritize matching console players with other console players if possible, but will then also allow PC players to join to fill up a server, to avoid long MM time.

  • PS5: "We don't want crossplay."
    XBOX: "We don't want crossplay."
    PC: "We don't want crossplay."
EA: "Thank you for your feedback.  While we hear you loud and clear, we are also going to completely ignore you."

We understand it will increase Q times.  We don't care.  The games aren't worth playing half the time because of issues with crossplay, so we have to sit 20 mins or so through a match we don't really enjoy all because "We need Q times to be 30 seconds faster."
