RedSec - Bullet hit is score ou damage dealt?

Hello, I have a question about BF6 in RedSec mode.

When I shoot and hit an enemy, is the number that appears with each hit the damage dealt or the points generated? Also, if it is points, is that number equivalent to the amount of damage dealt?
