REDSEC Feedback: Class Restrictions & Melee Balance Concerns

I've been enjoying REDSEC overall, but there are two gameplay decisions that seriously hurt the experience for me.

  1. Class restrictions
    The restrictions feel too limiting. Battlefield has always been about giving players freedom to approach combat in different ways. The current system reduces creativity and makes loadouts feel forced.
  2. Knife damage
    The combat knife should be a one-hit kill at very close range. Risking getting within melee distance should be rewarded. Right now, the knife feels weak and unreliable, making it almost pointless outside of stealth takedowns.

Please consider:

  • Relaxing class restrictions or adding a more flexible loadout mode.
  • Making the knife a one-hit kill at close range, or at least adding a Hardcore playlist where melee is lethal.

These changes would make gameplay more satisfying while still keeping the game balanced.

  • Class restriction is fine but definitely a yes to the knife hit ko. Probably a quick auto kill scene

    but for example i want smoke grenade on my recon class, why i can't have it?!
    it's limited to only support class

  • 100% agree, it makes no sense. Smokes are only powerful if you use them correctly and as a recon players it is such a tragic loss. I used it to get away, give cover to medics, block flanking enemies and block view of vehicles when possible to give engineers a target or get in position.
