Rescind vehicle regen changes.

These changes make vehicles pointless. The vehicle regen was not an issue. Why did you make it one? It's bad enough that even pre-this change, I couldn't reliably get repairs from nearby engineers but this makes it so much worse. Making the weak spots take more damage in combination with this was an absolutely ridiculous design choice. Watching 2-3 engineers not even be able to repair a tank during an attack on a conquest point just makes vehicles feel like utter paper. These changes also encourage cowardly playing by sitting on the edge of map with vehicles.

What even was the justification for these changes? Who was complaining about vehicle health regen?

Now, some say that the health regen is bugged and it's not meant to be 22 seconds. Then how does it take 3 weeks to fix.

The players deserve answers to why these changes were made.

Unfortunately as a IFV main, I rarely get repaired. And that is even when I'm on a point, under fire, with engineers who spawn on me, get out and RUN. But now with these changes, even 2 engineers cannot keep up in a firefight.

But yes, they effectively turned all armor into paperweights.

The players deserve answers as to why this was not externally tested before hand, or what their testing process was.

  • The problem is they want this game to play like CoD.  In CoD, every player is a one man army who can do it all.  In Battlefield, you should be working as a squad, or at least as a group of semi-competent monkeys that knows to shoot boom boom at angry metal monster.

But, because CoD, a single engineer, by design, should be able to solo a tank.  This is insanity.  Tanks are supposed to be TANKS, not metal coffins that blow up in two RPGs.

Amazingly bad change.  It reeks of people who don't play the game making gameplay decisions.  "Oh, the data says tanks kill a lot of people before they die.  Lets nerf tanks."  Meanwhile, the little bird is STILL overpowered, and they say the data doesn't agree with that so they keep making tiny baby changes that don't change anything because they don't play the game and they don't UNDERSTAND AT ALL why the little bird is completely broken.

Well, that's a bad question: there are ALWAYS people complaining.

But yeah, I think there was a fairly large consensus that we had landed in a decent place with ground vehicles after the Season 3 tweaks. And I didn't see anything egregious in Season 4 that made me think more tinkering was needed. Unless this was to give engineers more purpose? Repair was hardly needed.

But then, like always, no explanation, so we're left trying to guess why something that was working is now broken, and try to figure out what exactly was the goal. Sigh.
