Return to the origins
Dear Developers at Battlefield Studios!
I’ve been your devoted fan since the very first installment — Battlefield 1942. I’ve always adored the Battlefield series for its unique atmosphere and those special features that set it apart from other games.
Unfortunately, however, none of the releases after Battlefield 1 have managed to captivate me. They felt different, and I never wanted to play them for long — I’d log in briefly and quit without the same sense of enjoyment.
I eagerly awaited the beta of Battlefield 6 and overall, I think you’ve done a fairly good job. But it still lacks that classic Battlefield "spirit," specifically:
- Unique vehicles and weapons for each faction, as implemented in Battlefield 1942,2,bc,3 . This created genuine variety and a sense of distinct sides in the conflict.
- Clear class-based weapon restrictions. If I want to play as a Sniper — I should be using sniper rifles. This system encouraged trying different roles and tactics. Now, since any class can use almost any weapon, the very point of having distinct classes is lost. Why choose a class if you can just swap weapons on the same "universal soldier"?
It’s these unique traits that players love Battlefield for! This is what we expect from you — preserving the series' identity, not turning it into another Call of Duty clone.
Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. I hope you will take these suggestions into consideration for future development.
