It would be awesome so that the person being dragged to be able to shot his pistol.. sometimes you feel like a sitting duck, when reviving a teammate and he cant atlesat kill someone coming towards us. i think that is more realistic
You know I thought exactly this when I was playing. Was thinking why cant I be shooting my pistol whilst being dragged, would help a lot when enemies come round whilst in the dragging motion.
and then to balance it, it would halt the revive while having the pistol out. I believe the player can still get themselves into the spawn menu if they hold E (i forgot the actual button), so keeping someone down forever is also not possible.
Prioritizing dragging someone and once in cover, the revive can start. Keybind/controller input could start after you are safe from enemies. At least make it a setting so people can pick and choose what they want to do.
Edit: This is a double-edged sword now that I think about it. You would easily have people on your team trolling you and drag you as long as they wanted to.
