Rework Matchmaking/Map Rotation

Im sick and tired of the matchmaking system. It shouldnt pull you out of a game to find a completely new lobby after every match. I dont know who's idea it was to go this route but its terrible.

#1 reason, it totally messes up the map rotation. Get on first game of the night, play Liberation Peak conquest. No problem got a bad one out of the way, wont see it for a while now.  2nd Map, play New Sobek City. Sweet 2 bad maps down, now lets get some good ones. 3rd map Seige of Cairo. Not bad, not bad. But then instead of getting a 4th map, you find yourself back at Liberation Peak and that is when I turn the game off.

#2 reason Try and get 5 or more players in the same game together. Its easy and no problem to have a player back out of the party and that 5th/6th/7th join on them and que up to get in. But after a few games it gets old and repetitive when you have to keep doing this b/c "ope game ended and the matchmaking disbands to find you a new one."  Esp when you are stuck in a que for longer than the game lasts. This needs addressed b/c back in the day, every bf up until 2042, you could get in a lobby together, stay together and have your fun. Now its a chore and another reason to put the game down after a few matches.  Portal isnt the answer right now b/c it is still a cluster F of lobbies that dont need to exist so trying to remotely find a good server there is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

The lobby system/server browser in bf4,1,5 wasnt broken. Dont know why they think they needed to re-invent it but I play video games to play with my buds, not a bunch of randoms. Hopefully the portal gets fleshed out a little better b/c thats probably going to be the answer to get everyone rolling together. Pretty sad that games like Hell let loose and Arma make it straightforward as to playing with more than 4 people, but a triple a title cant make it work. Heck even COD lets you get 6 players together.

  • I agree, the matchmaking is terrible.  Besides playing some maps multiple times in a short span, most games are blowouts.  When I do get into a close match, sometimes the game timer ends the game early, despite the close score.  The great thing about having a server browser is that you can fill squads with your friends and play the game as a team.  Years ago, players frustrated with playing with randoms would join a platoon so they could play and communicate as a team.  That’s impossible with EA’s awful matchmaking.
