Season 4 is my last

I’ve been playing Battlefield since Battlefield 1942, and honestly, the current state of this game is awful. The constant sliding and bunny-hopping with virtually no meaningful penalty has completely changed the feel of Battlefield. I don’t care what EA says, the movement currently has very little downside, and it rewards CoD style gameplay instead of the Battlefield experience that longtime players loved.

Then there are the network issues, questionable TTK, cross-play concerns, controller aim assist that feels like a built in aimbot, and the continued use of Cronus devices that seem to go largely unpunished. On top of that, the number of obvious hackers is getting completely out of control.

Battlefield has always had its problems, but this is different. The game is increasingly being designed around attracting the CoD crowd while neglecting the players who have supported Battlefield for decades. Please clean this game up. Fix the networking, address the movement mechanics, take a serious look at aim assist and controller balancing, crack down on Cronus and other cheating devices, and improve anti-cheat enforcement.

I know EA could careless, but at this point, I will no longer play this game in its current state. I’ve supported this franchise for decades, and it’s disappointing to walk away, but the current experience simply isn’t worth my time anymore.

I want Battlefield to feel like Battlefield again.

Initially, yes, absolutely. Recently though? Tsuru Reef and Golmud are not maps meant to attract CoD players, far from it. Same with making tanks much sturdier than at release. Same with increasing bloom and making guns less precise. Heck, the disappearance of all the smaller modes, however dumb that decision was, is not the kind of stuff that would please whatever CoD refugees are still around.

There's a difference between the frustration at some things not getting sorted out getting higher and the game actually getting worst for the sake of specific population.

  • Last few days I been flying heuys and dropping supplies for ground troops letting my side gunners kill the NVA. Surprised HLL vietnam is doing so well after its release.

Used machine gunner sat in a hut laying down suppressing fire. Heard foot steps outside. Multiple NVA soldiers came running in at me. I got one but they got me. Not a single person was sliding and bunny hopping.

Its been really fun. Battlefield was that option for me that was between a military sims game and call of duty. Never cared for the fast paced running and gunning and quick scoping And Thats what battlefield has become. So I switched to a military sims.

    TTK is brutal.

  • There's very little realism in BF6 combat.  The graphics are great, but the play is absurd.  When guys are literally running around in CQC with sniper rifles & getting headshot kills, you have departed from reality.  And what's with guys wearing capes?  Is there a type of uniform of which I am not aware . . ?
