Side sliding

The slide mechanic is BF6 gives you an insane speed buff for no reason AND you can conserve the momentum of the speed buff through bunny hopping.  This was never in a previous title.

"Overcasualizing the game is killing gameplay depth" blah blah blah.  The game doesn't need 12,000,000 niche mechanics that 99% of the player base will never use.  If you want to talk about killing gameplay depth, complain about the size of the maps practically killing the ability to properly flank on many maps, and the combat flow of most maps making them just a meat grinder of death.

I disagree, it's been in battlefield for as long as battlefield has existed, at least bf4 and pre bf4, I don't know about BF1, 5 and 2042 since I never played those, and it's in very minimal form. Overcasualizing the game is killing gameplay depth and makes the game repetitive and boring.

Sliding and jumping are the worst aspect of this game...

Welcome to codfield. A game most cod players dont like (cod does this better) and bf players never wanted.
There is a reason a AAA game is flatlining within 6 months of its release.
The bigger issue is the movement isn't the main problem with the game, the desync/net code / hit reg is.
I did 297 damage to a player in redsec last night.  They killed me and still had 44 health 🤣
