Hi iLucky: Nice post. I agree. Something that AOD obviously fails to understand is that running and gunning with a sniper rifle is not sniping by definition. What I do in game is sniping. I specialize in extreme long range shots. Tactically I play the game as close to real as the game will allow. I spend a great deal of time searching the large maps for good places to snipe from. And I'm patient. I have no problem waiting and watching the entire map to get only a 2 or 3 kills perhaps. Although I many times when my kill scope greatly over 10. My average kill is over 500m with over 3400 kills with the PSR. My longest 1203m on Firestorm. I say all that to say this. The latest bullet speed nerf is totally ridiculous. Dedicated snipers such as myself are basically the redheaded stepchild in the game. They give all the tools to do tactical sniping as it should be done with powerful sniper rifles, long range barrels, long range ammo, ranger finders, infrared spotting scope and powerful rifle scopes. Then they spit in our faces by nerfing the class so bad it's basically almost not useable. I attribute that to the creators caving-in to the COD mentality type players. As I call them the SRSD players (spawn run shoot die). But that the case I believe. They cater to whiny cry babies who think you're cheating when you blow their heads off from 800m away. BF is not COD. Nor should it be. Being in real life I am a long range target shooter with 40+ years of shooting, reloading and gunsmithing. I know ballistics. I have equipment like what you mention. So as such I took the time to do a short video I'll attach demonstrating the very issue about bullet speed. Well, people like you contribute nothing to team play, so keeping more people from doing that is just a net positive. Saying "BF is not COD nor should it be" is a joke, because what you want is much closer to COD. That game features no bullet drop or ballistics, it's just hit scan, any range and any hit on any bodypart is automatic kill.
Before any nerf, sniping in BF6 was far easier than in any other title in the franchise, and the most chasing of COD fans they put in the entire game. That combined with you wanting to be a selfish player, not contributing to the team, and you've broken the space-time irony about saying this game isn't COD.
And people like you are just whiny cry babies. Always telling other players how they should be playing. As for your so-called not contributing as recon I without a doubt spot and paint more enemy targets then you by far. Plus obviously you know nothing about ballistics. If it was up to you the recon/sniper class wouldn't even exist. I watch in my scope people like you run around like directionless chickens. You are food for my PSR. So put a sock in it dude and go try to rationalize your non-sense somewhere else. BTW, I'm topped-up on flag captures in Conquest.
