I just played the map on Conquest. It is a small map and not fun to play. Jets and Helicopters are pointless. The objectives are too close and uninspiring. I don't want anymore maps this small or smaller from here forward. I want BF maps like pre 2042. I like the sprawling maps with buildings and points of interest that don't always create fatal funnels. Golmud Railroad is a great example. Parcel Islands is a great example. Zavod 311 is a great example. Gulf of Oman is a great example. Lost Islands is a great example. Siege of Shanghai is a great example. Operation Hammerhead is a good example.
So far, every map is small to medium by BF3-BFV standards. Each objective is designed to be a mini Metro or Locker. Those maps are good for a meat grinder. I don't want a meat grinder every time. I don't want to be forced into a head on collision every time. I want the flexibility to flank and even be out flanked by the enemy. I want jets to have room to move around. Operation Firestorm and Mirak Valley are the only two maps with any room, and Mirak is medium. It's not big. It should be 50% wider with a few more small buildings on the opposite end of the field towards the peaks.
I enjoy Manhattan Bridge. For a smaller map it functions well for conquest. It feels like Bazaar. I like Mirak Valley, but its too small and forces people into the middle. I like Operation Firestorm too. Only Firestorm can be mistaken as a well dispersed and large map though.
Give us some inspired large maps with depth and width, not just length. Think Gulf of Oman and how those objectives are spread out, with large buildings on the edges.
