Spotting dot

Enjoying the game so far. One massive issue I have is the red dot over enemy's heads. It's constantly there. In past battlefield titles it was only there if you physically pressed the ping button or used the recon class for spotting purposes. Please remove the constant spotting cause all we are doing is looking for red dots instead of soldiers

Legit. I hate this so much. Makes it hard to use any flanks as you’re constantly spotted.  Hope they change it.

  • I think it's great with the points, especially on the consoles and if you play on the TV it is otherwise impossible to recognize an opponent in these realistic conditions in terms of color. In addition, this also prevents camping .. you can no longer hide. And if you flank well, a point above the head doesn't matter. Please EA keep that with the red dot - we all think it's great!!

I thinks its great either I rather leave it to be it was allways in battlefield games, I think they can nerf it when only the enemy is close

  • It definitely needs a significant nerf along with the sniper scope glint. Feels lame that instead of looking for enemy soldiers I'm looking for red markers instead.

  • Agreed. But for that they need to fix these colors, cuz its really hard to see enemies because the colors just **bleep** eyes haha.

That's the whole point in battlefield games. Play some bf4 and you'll see

I know bf4 all too well, but we are talking about bf6 not bf4 :D . I still hope they can fix that/ FINALLY learn from their mistakes haha.

  • The instant spotting absolutely needs to go. Manual spotting only, all the way!

  • I agree, as I recon player auto spotting takes away from tactical play. As stated on another forum you are looking for doritos instead of soldiers (it kills the immersion). Also if you can't see a sniper with the current glint they have, you need glasses or you need to update your monitor.

At there very least it needs to be toned down (way down) so you need to look for it instead of it just jump at you. It should only benefit your squad not the entire team. Smoke or no direct line of sight should immediately break or cancel the doritos unless you are bleeding or being manually pinged. They need to fix glint as well but i would be happy to trade auto spotting for minor glint reduction as a skill.
