I agree, as I recon player auto spotting takes away from tactical play. As stated on another forum you are looking for doritos instead of soldiers (it kills the immersion). Also if you can't see a sniper with the current glint they have, you need glasses or you need to update your monitor.
At there very least it needs to be toned down (way down) so you need to look for it instead of it just jump at you. It should only benefit your squad not the entire team. Smoke or no direct line of sight should immediately break or cancel the doritos unless you are bleeding or being manually pinged. They need to fix glint as well but i would be happy to trade auto spotting for minor glint reduction as a skill.
