Squad/Party Chat Setting is Annoying AF

I dont know who designed this but. They should be fired.

When you invite 1 or 2 people to play with you and join your party, that leaves you with 1 or 2 person(s) random in you squad. Then when you join a game your audio settings are changed to "Party" at the beginning of every match. This makes you unable to VOIP to the random squad mates and only the friends you invited into your party. IT IS ANNOYING AF TO HAVE TO GO TO YOUR SETTINGS EVERY SINGLE MATCH TO CHANGE SETTING BACK TO "SQUAD" SO YOU CAN MAKE CALLOUTS TO THE RANDOMS.

Whi designed this? If I change my settings I expect them to stay what I changed them to. Not change every single god dang match.

If I want to mute someone in my squad I can manually mute them!

Second issue to this, if your friend(s) in your party dont switch setting to "squad" when you do, you will no longer hear them til they switch to "squad" as well.

Please fix this shhhhht.

    Assuming not redsec or gauntlet...

Option 1: In the game, you can go to squad management, create a new squad, all join that squad, and lock it so no randoms can join. You'll never worry about them missing out on your coms.

Option 2 (and/or Option 1): You can join a community server, and then your squad will never break at the end of the round, never matchmake again, and will retain your squad settings round after round.

This is really getting up my nose, and needs to be addressed sharpish, literally a lynchpin to a good game is communicating with a squad of strangers, party group is almost always going to use third party chat - the amount of times I've switched to squad chat and chatted with the squad they've been responsive to what I'm saying even if they don't have mics turned on!

I am joking about firing people. I wouldn't want that on anyone. But what I mean is there is some coding that looks like they never tested it. One example, the weekly challenges.  I completed them but the following week it says I didn't. Another, if you used the system you would have it automatically open to the week tab that is current, nit week one every time. Or there is challenges that make absolutely no sense. There's a king of the hill challenge that you need a score of 10,000 to complete in one round. I can drop a 30 kill game with 2 mins on objective(which is an amazing performance) and only hit 8000 points. Average score is 4000 or less. Its like the people who made these challenges never played the game.

  • Fully agree (other than firing the person who designed it - games/software evolve, and this is just another example).

We need a way to keep the party group on the same squad across game sessions, but also make it easy to let us chat with the randoms that fill out a partial party-created squad.
