Re: Battlefield 6 Party Size Limitation - Concern and Suggestion

According to a thread that was posted here not long ago, the gist of it was that large squads, all voice connected, would be overpowered for the game. If I recall correctly one poster was suggesting squads of 16.

I think the idea is that the game devs would rather see us play as Team versus Team, and four-man squads are really just incidental, basic organization.

Unless I hear different, especially at this late stage of the game, I assume squads will remain as four-man squads.

I believe it would be very difficult to balance. Imagine a premade team of eight players joining a 64 player server. I think they should keep the limit at four, as it seems to be the current plan.

That makes 0 sense on the basis that you can just join your friend and get more people into the same game. The only annoying part is one team needs to then leave at end of game and rejoin again.

So either they need to remove the ability to join people or make it so that you can go in as up to 8 and then its split into 2 squads.

This is a terrible suggestion. We never had issues with this during BF4 days. I can have up to 8 people In our ps chat and we want to play the same game 

We did have issues during the BF4 days. It's just that you don't see 8 member parties all that often. But when it happens the balance goes to crap.

Good job EA. You made the same mistake as you did with 2042 that made my 7+ friend group unsub and quit within a month.

You are losing at least 6 sales from me and my friends. I can only imagine how many other large friend groups feel the same way.

When meanwhile, Battlefront 2 had 10 man parties and friends not in your squad were yellow so they weren't lost among all the other blue dot randoms.

You could have easily implemented matchmaking to match large squads on opposite teams.

Regardless, Battlefield has NEVER been a highly competitive game. It's a casual shooter and it's large scale, it's meant to be played with big friend groups.

What balance? I have yet to play a balanced game in bf6. I cant remember playing a balanced game in 2042 either. Its not like there will be only 1 premade in games either. You place premades on each team and fill the gaps with solo players. In the end its not about party size but about people playing objectives instead of tdm. 

Dice is forcing people to exclude people out of a group of friends.  This is literally a company encouraging ostracism. 

There were no issues during BF4 when you had good server browser and you were able to change teams during match.

It feels like The people promoting the revisionist history that it was this big issue are either too young to have played battlefield before 2042 where switching teams was removed or bots/on the ea payroll.

What balance indeed, The amount of times I got into an escalation game and we got absolutely boat raced because no one played the objective was alarming.

From what I've seen the game could use more pre mades.

It's every man for himself chaos in 70% of matches.

Little teamwork, few revives, even fewer resupplies.
