Stinger/IGLA Nerfs

What on earth are you thinking? The AA weapons in BF6 are already GARBAGE and now you make them even worse?

The IGLA was launched in a completely broken state, it never worked, so why is it being nerfed before it's even been usable? Stinger nerfed into the ground by reducing the lock on range to 550 meters and the speed smashed.

Remember that when you're on the ground, if you're shooting something in the air, the distance to the target isn't a flat distance, it's a Pythagoras theorem, so if the air vehicle is 400m up in the sky, a 550m max range means the actual distance on the ground is only 377 meters.

You should be increasing the range of the anti-air, not nerfing it.

How is this fair? The stinger is already impossible to hit flying vehicles on most maps, as they shuttle across the narrow map (most noticeably, Liberation Peak), then if you lock on and fire they use their magic flares, and by the time you reload they're already out of range, behind a mountain or in a valley and "below radar".

And you did nothing in the patch notes to fix the Mobile AA, which is all but useless. You realise that the Mobile AA is so bad that the only good way to use it, is to NOT USE THE AA SHELLS. It's the anti-air vehicle but using it as one is suicide because of how bad it is. The only good way to get any utility is to take the anti-vehicle shells so you can at least hurt transport vehicles. And no fix for the obnoxious radar dome on the PAX version of the tank.

Are you trying to kill the game like you did with 2042 and it's 150-0 server emptying UFO little birds?

    Below Radar should be removed from the game. It gives too much of a benefit to air players. Why do they get magic flares, with a reload that's only 2 seconds longer than the stinger reload, with nerfed AA vehicle guns that overheat almost instantly and take forever to reload, a nerfed static AA gun (which is almost always in a completely useless location), and then on top of that, get a magic altitude level where they suddenly can't be locked on. It's madness.

    If I asked for infantry players to get a magic "below sniper" where if I'm closer than 75 meters they do no damage, or "below RPG" in a tank where if I'm within 50 meters of an engineer player their RPG's can't hurt me, I'd be laughed at. But air players get this protection despite being the fastest units on the map and being able to fly high enough that nothing can hit them before they decide where to attack. No-one else in the game gets that.

    The AA tank needs it's gun significantly buffed. It's impossible to get a kill unless a dumb pilot flies in circles around you for 30 seconds while it waits for you to reload the AA gun multiple times. It's range is pathetic, and is shorter than the air vehicles weapons. The jet can bomb you with missiles from longer range than you can shoot back as one example. Why is a vehicle designed to shoot it's entire load of ammunition in one burst if required, so nerfed and slow to shoot and turn the turret?

  • I feel like nobody complaining here has ever tried to fly anything in BF6. You get locked non-stop from the time you spawn. If the broad ground-based anti-air options were all as potent as this thread seems to believe they should be, air vehicles would be incapable of impacting the game. For several BF titles now the jets have been nerfed more and more in multiple ways because of constant complaining, creating a high skill requirement just to get a few kills a game. Lock-on weapons require no skill, so it's appropriate that they shouldn't have unlimited range while also still enjoying on of the highest amounts of damage from a single hit. Hitting an air vehicle causes about 50% total vehicle health damage, creates an irratic immobilization often leading to unavoidable crashing. And, just for good measure, you not get credited with the kill if your point, shoot and forget it weapons cause that crash (because of how many jet-chasing IGLA pros complained about being "robbed" before). 

    Everyone wants everything they use to be better. Just suck it up and play.

    I agree no lock ons should be a instant win ,but they are absolutely useless,aircraft have far to many get outs,you dont even need to be a skilled pilot to stay alive from locks , it's too easy

    I dont care how I fly, I get  constantly farmed by Helicopters, these things have so much firepower they should  not have a  high uptime it  should  be easy to shoot them down, If you want  to farm something play on a bot server, but right now EVERY SINGLE LAUNCHER has a 100% miss chance due to flare spam, out of range miss, below status miss and random misses where I dont  even know what causes them sometimes the  **bleep** projectile just disappears. YOU SUCK IT UP if they add a gadet into the game I  expect  it to do something AND NOT MISS EVERY SINGLE SHOT.

  • I thought the IGLA was being buffed.

     

    Also I am not 100% sure but I think that  laser designation bypasses bellow radar

    Air gets magic flares, magic below radar, magic repairs, magic reloads, magic notice of being locked on & magic notice of being fired at. So much skill there.

    Consider trying to see how the grass feels on the other side too.

    Personally I have deemed the BF6 aircraft very flawed and worse than being with my boots on the ground.

    No you consider what is the  point  of 3 Anti Air Launcher that will miss with 100% certainty, the only thing that can currently shoot down aircraft is lucky shots when the pilot sucks other Aircraft which makes you dependant on the pilots of your team and the stationary AA machine gun since they  nerfed the mobile on into the ground. I dont care if they give the Helicopters and jets more HP or Armor or whatever but you cant just  have 3 AA launchers in the game that simply can not hit a target EVER

    The idea is that the vehicle will be forced to evade/retreat (deterrent) and not that it have a good chance to get wrecked by one person.

    and if enough people go after  the same aircraft from different locations, it will eventually get hit and be in huge trouble.

    I do not think that you would have liked it more if instead it was much easier to land the AA missiles but the aircraft needed many more hits because that would warrant even more people needed to focus fire the aircraft to be a threat to it.

     Other than that, I think that the IGLA need more tweaks to work like in BF4 where one can make the missile reacquire the  aircraft if it stayed in sight and range after the flares.

    I don't care about the other side. IMO battlefield should get rid of aircraft in general. They are constantly the most oppressive thing in every BF game even when they are "weak."
