Stop Catering

This game is not meant to be built around COD players. To many playing, to many snipers and zero suppresion. Not enough objective players, its a little ridiculous.  Had 3 buddies that played with me, there done. Back to anno for them, they were OG players over the years. The after beta updates had them, then the gameplay after update changed everything. Thanks, You really count on devs and COD members to get it. Its like you all are a bunch of rookies. get ahold of me. Make your paid for devs unworthy, they're COD related anyways.  Not a major overhaul either.

If only they would actually care, yet sadly they don't, and probably never will. It's all about money and COD gameplay.

AARP_Rep  "but this is the battlefield that Dice had to make to stay relevant in the gaming world"

Except, this is in no way the game that they kept pushing to us and advertising. Remember they said "We're going back to the Battlefield Roots"

Well, this is nothing like. But I do agree with your explanation, it's just a shame that I wasted my money on a game that is nothing like it was sold to me.

However, and I know this has been said by many, but, I am of the age where I expect people to stick to their word, and if they don't then that's it from me.

This is my last BF game. Heck, you can't even call it BF.

Sadly Dice and EA have moved on from our generation of gamers. They want to cater to the younger players who want instant action with quick matches. I miss the spirit of the older titles and are happy some groups are still keeping them alive, but the future of battlefield for the next decade is going to be more COD, CS, R6S, and Battle Royal based. Its what this generation of young adults played and they are hooked on it just like we where with the older BF releases and in many cases the original COD to a lesser extent. The best option I can recommend is to either take a break from the game, get a refund, or even though its not as it was try some of the portal lobbies that are actively managed by players. I see several dad servers each night and have had a pleasant time playing conquest. If its slow I just switch over to one of the BF projects keeping BF2, BFV, and BF1942 going and get my fix. Long story short the devs are doing exactly what they need to. Make a game that sells to a younger generation of players and grabs the attention of younger adults. Is it morally questionable with all the micro-transactions and battle passes it depends on your prospective but this is the battlefield that Dice had to make to stay relevant in the gaming world.

Another small point as a boomer who plays regularly and is still mad that no BF title since 1942 has had warships and submarines, lets just say EA and Dice do stop catering to this COD fast action small map mindset and make BF a "true dad game" like we remember. The same thing would still be happening but from the other side saying maps are too big and the game is slow. Its just a vicious cycle where no one gets everything. But hey this is just my 2 cents.
