Sub machine guns are over powered. There is no way your gonna beat one with any other gun when you come into battle against one at mid to close range. I can be hold security on a doorway hear the guy running up have my finger on the trigger and they still win that battle.
Yeah they put all the recoil and bloom on ARs. WTAF? It’s the direct opposite of how AR and SMGs are handled in BF4. But that’s expected bc DICE always reinvents the wheel w each new game like Battlefield never existed.
SMGs are better at mid range with less recoil and the with same or higher damage than most ARs. Not to mention SMGs have better ADS, less bloom and better handling.
Even a lot of Carbines have a higher muzzle velocity than ARs. How? Most ARs have a longer barrel. Not to mention Carbines have better ADS, better handling, less bloom than ARs.
ARs should have higher muzzle velocity that most Carbines and all SMGs. Longer barrel and larger rounds with more gun powder.

I mainly play Engineer and our weapon of choice Is the submachine gun, and, yes, they are very good ... but, overpowered? No, absolutely not. A Sniper Rifle can kill you instantly. An Assault Rifle can kill you in three hits. A Submachine Gun takes longer. So, by any standard, it is not an overpowered weapon.
At midrange if any weapon is considered over overpowered it is the Assault Rifle. And I don't have a problem with that because the Assault Class are supposed to be Frontline Fighters and they need the weapons to back them up.
In addition, it is not possible to deal with a long range sniper with a submachine gun or an assault rifle. They have you dead to rights. Long range attack is their domain.
Also, at close range it's a toss up whether the assault rifle or submachine gun will kill you faster. They are both deadly and can hipfire very well.
Getting instant killed from SMGs (and ARs) from across the map is one of the reasons this game is not fun.

Yeah I sniper can kill you in one hit yeah a AR can kill you in 3 but all the good thay does when they have shot you 5 times with the sub before you even get a shot off
He's not confusing anything i 95% get out shot at range with either me woth an AR or carbine. And the enemy with a sub
