Suggestion: Tactical Country Flag Patches for Player Customization

I think it would be a great addition to eventually have access to tactical flag patches representing different countries that players could equip on their character.

This type of customization wouldn’t impact gameplay at all, but it would allow players to represent their country in a subtle and immersive way, especially in a military setting where patches are already a realistic element.

This would add more personality to characters while still keeping the authentic Battlefield aesthetic.

It could be implemented as:

Unlockable content (challenges, progression)

Seasonal rewards / battle pass

Or low-cost purchases through the in-game store

I think a lot of players would appreciate being able to represent where they’re from, especially in a global game like Battlefield.

walas85 Yeah, I actually agree with you. Having more realistic skins inspired by real-world special forces like in Medal of Honor: Warfighter would definitely be a great direction for the game.

That said, I do think they’ve already started moving in the right direction recently. Compared to earlier, it feels like the game is slowly shifting back toward a more grounded and military-focused style.

It’s not perfect yet, and there’s still a bit of a gap, but the foundation is there. We’re on the right track.

I think small additions could really push it further, like:

    More realistic operator skins

Gear inspired by actual special forces units or military units

And things like country flag patches to reinforce immersion and identity

With a few changes like that, it could really help bring Battlefield closer to its original military roots while still keeping customization.

Something like Medal of Honor: Warfighter, where special forces from all over the world were featured – they had their own unique outfits.

That would be cool, but Battlefield 6 has veered towards the colorful version of Call of Duty, so it's unlikely to happen.

From the very beginning, the developers have been mocking Call of Duty with their skins; Battlefield 6 was supposed to return to its military roots, and we know how that turned out...
