Switching Steam linked EA Accounts
I bought BF6 on steam with my Steam account linked to EA Account 1.
I would like to switch my Steam account link to EA Account 2 where my xbox account has been linked for years.
I understand any progression in BF6 would be lost as all saved data is connected to EA accounts, but is my purchase of BF6 on steam tied to my EA Account 1 and I wont be able to play if I switch the steam association to EA account 2?
Im hesitant that I would lose access to playing the game or will have to repurchase it if I make this change.
Following up after getting help from support.
I successfully unlinked from EA Account 1 and linked to EA account 2 and was still able to play BF6 on steam. All progress was lost as expected (although campaign levels still showed completed) so multiplayer and challenges reset.
It did recognized my 2042 battlepass i completed on EA account 2 on xbox.
Note this will only work if the account your linking to has had no other other steam accounts linked to it, which mine had not. And if you want to revert your link to original account you have to wait 6 months.
