The assignments in BF6 work against the game

Been playing Battlefield since BF3, and i am currently a returning player to the franchise.

But i can't help but feel like the assignments, for example Deadeye 2, are working against the game.
And what i mean about this is that it forces a player to do specific tasks for hours on end just to grind for, in this case, a new sniper unlock.

Make assignments challenging yes, but not tedious and time consuming. I want to play battlefield the way it should be; capping objectives, supporting my team with ammo, repairs and revives. Not spend an entire match just trying to chip away at the 150 200m headshot kills to unlock the PSR

I remember the assignments in bf3 being hard, but fun and challenging to do. Take the G3 assignment in the Back to Karkand expansion for example, a simple 10 repairs and a repair torch kill. The follow up assignment? 50 AT rocket kills, kill one vehicle with the repair torch and win 5 rounds of conquest.

Those two assignments from BF3 felt more fun, than the many of the assignments in BF6
Maybe i'm just nostalgic, and not really as "cracked" at the game as i used to be.

I just want to play battlefield, the way battlefield is meant to be played. Not grinding assignments all day.

Would love to know what others think about this, or if i'm alone on this one.

  • If devs can't rework assignments... May their families find no peace in afterlife!

  • Exactly. To unlock spec ops should be its own assignment so snipers can avoid it. Like x kills with smgs or something.

im going to take a break til EA addresses. I don’t feel like im playing battlefield. I feel like im being forced to grind an mmo and I have to farm a rare drop to continue to play the game or something. I pre ordered as soon as I saw the spec ops class too. Bf vet also.
