The attachment progression is balanced for Pro steamers and NEETs
By far the most irritating part of the game right now is how much grinding one had to do in order to get the best available attachments for the weapons.
The only time where the progression feels reasonable is when there is a double XP weekend and you can also stack the limited duration XP bonuses for an actually palatable progression.
The rest of the time the progression is slow enough that one has to either be able to either be incredibly good at doing a lot of kills per match or to have way too much free time, like what someone who is either making a living out of steaming can do or if they are a NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training).
Like I said in the past: Attachments are not Accolades, they are vital tools to make the weapon perform optimally, they are something that affects the quality of the gameplay. One of the few things 2042 got right was to make access to all the attachments quick.
I believe that the weapon mastery progression needs a serious rework.
Right now the attachments are spread between mastery 1 and around the late 30s.
In my opinion, the time to reach that mastery level should be adjusted so that it is as much as it is now to reach mastery 20. Then the remaining mastery levels up to T1 can have their required XP increased so that the purely cosmetic T1 will remain a lofty goal without affecting the gameplay progression as much.
If you keep things as they are now, you will keep losing more players to apathy/boredom or other games that are not staggering their gameplay progression to such an insane degree.
I could have written a part about the bot farming and how helped with the problem before you ruined it, but bot farming is a symptom, while your progression system is the disease that you chose to allow to fester to the detriment of the game.
I do not know if this topic will help someone see the light in the decision making team but I had to give my feedback and hope for a better BF6 in 2026.
Happy Holidays, I hope that some of the decision makers will actually attempt to play their game during the break.
