Its not a bug, painted targets ignore flares, CHAFF is needed to break paint lock, thus countering laser guided munitions
This is just not true. any other paint lock-on missile gets avoided with flares. this has been the case in every battlefield game. also the lack of INCOMING indicator is definitely a bug, not even counting that there is an exploit that spawns the missile directly inside the target vehicle
in bf4 lazer guided munition could not get flared off if you were painted, which makes pretty good sense, a flare does not stop a lazer, only ecm could block it, but we dont have ecm in this game for some reason
exactly this, altough i wouldnt expect people that havent played something more realistic then battlefield to know but instead of "fixing" this non existent bug the devs should ad CHAFF and ECM jammers to counter this tactic. its actually a really good mechanic cuz it keeps people from hovering straight above enemies and makes them play more tactically like doing peeka booing with a heli or doing strafe runs with jets to then hide behind buildings or mountains.
The indicator itself is bugged are yall not able to comprehend that part too?
