well its not a bug if its litterally how it supposed to work now is it ? this should be a suggestion to put ECM into the game instead of "fixing" something that working the way its supposed to, ofcourse your not getting a lock on message, its not locking onto you, its locking onto the laser, and well as you said ECM yourself you know why flares dont work on it i asume.
