The bug of Bradley's lock-on missiles

As title, when the lock-on missile of Bradley locks an aircraft with laser pointer(not consisting pointing), the missile can ignore the countermeasures of the aircraft and hit the aircraft(The "missile incoming" information is not updated, and the aircraft is shot down under the prompt "locked" and cannot be interfered with.) This bug appeared in BF2042 in January, 2025 too.

This makes no sense as a game mechanic. Similar mechanisms appeared in BF4, but in BF4 aircrafts have ECM to counter laser-guided missiles, and there's no in BF6.

From these two points of view, that Bradley's lock-on missiles can ignore the countermeasures of aircrafts is a BUG.

You can see the Bradley's perspective on This video from China, starting at the 00:50 of this video, although that heli gave the countermeasure, it still got hit (the distance is about 600m+ so there's impossible for "non-escapable distance" making this hit).

bud its literally how the missile is supposed to work IRL, the thing they need is to add chaff and ECM jammers to battle this bradley tactic. other then that these are uneducated posts about a weapon system thats doing its job.

well this is a game, not real life. and the description of the items dont match their use, laser desginator reads"helps lock on faster" you are NOT pointing and guiding a rocket to the chopper like a tow. with mr missile, they are painting, quickly locking and shooting and carrying on with their day. and it doesnt miss, ive had it follow me around the mountains on firestorm and liberation peak in a weird manner.  people act like just using an RPG to kill the chopper is the the hardest thing on the planet.

Definitely a bug the issue is the INDICATOR isn’t saying incoming , the missiles are just porting across the map in some cases as well. It says painted and then it’ll disappear as if the paint wore off then BOOM. That’s a big no missile incoming indicator like it’s supposed to be. You gotta be slow to not see this

I’ve been playing Battlefield regularly for more than a decade, and it’s honestly heartbreaking to see what has become of this franchise. No other game has ever kept me hooked the way Battlefield did, and at this point my brain can’t even decide whether I love this game or hate it. Battlefield has always had its own unique playstyle and stood apart from other FPS games. The vehicles especially are the reason I still stick with it. Unfortunately, with every new title the vehicle balance gets worse, and the game becomes more casualized. To be fair, I can’t remember a Battlefield launch without major issues, but at least DICE always managed to fix things eventually. Now, though, I’ve reached a point where my frustration with DICE is stronger than ever—especially with how they treat long-time players like me who primarily use vehicles. Some mistakes just can’t be forgiven. One of those mistakes is, yet again, the Bradley tank’s lock-on missiles. This has to be the most annoying bug I’ve ever experienced, especially as a pilot. Normally I’d just be annoyed, but this time I’m furious. Why? Because they had the exact same bug in BF2042 and somehow copy-pasted it straight into BF6. They clearly knew this bug existed, and instead of fixing it, they let it slide—leaving toxic players free to abuse it. I even heard there was a similar issue in Battlefield Labs with the jet’s AA missile, and they ended up disabling it. Knowing that just makes it worse, because it proves they can take action when they want to—yet they do absolutely nothing about the Bradley missiles. Even if they couldn’t fix the bug, they could at least disable the weapon temporarily. But nope. The issue still exists to this day. The game just doesn’t feel right anymore. BF6 was my last glimmer of hope—but now even that has been extinguished.
