I want to keep this relevant. I can't put into words what they took away here. It didn't even fix the server issues or "global quota" message.
I do still have hope. I wasn't aware they had taken bot fill away completely. My lad came down at the weekend, He's nearly 10 and probably shouldn't be playing, I know. He liked the look, so after some conversations I set him up in a bot room. Now, these weren't obvious bots, the names didn't end with (bot). They were also showing different, low, rank levels. This was different to the last bot room I had loaded up for him to play and I saw this with my own eyes, these bots were like super soldiers. Honestly, similar to the campaign on hardcore mode, lit up from everywhere. Not impossible, but much better than standard LtDan(bot). I may have also been downed in a chopper by a bot with an RPG.
My hope is that they are quietly working to buff the bots intelligence and ability. hopefully they'll give us something meaningful back in portal. Not just a casual breakthrough mode with 2 maps/modes to play and no vehicles.
Please, give it back, not for farming but for progression and less stressful fun.
