This Match trigger bug made me again painfully aware of the leveling slowness

When I heard about it, I wanted to try it myself, and feel the difference myself....

But the **bleep** thing was at level 40 mastery.  Now it is disabled which is both a great response by DICE and a big disappointment for anyone who wanted to experience it on the sending end...

It makes me think of how it takes far too long for a more normal player who is not slaying 40+ players per round to progress their gun.

Meanwhile streamers and people with enough free time had reached level 50 by day 1 or 2.

Why are attachments extending all the way to mastery 40 ?!
In 2042 the attachment grind was over by mastery 12 and it was all the better for it

By the time I have reached near to mastery 40 I am already bored with these weapons and want to try other weapons or play another game with my leisure time...

Yes the way we get progress from other point sources is great but I find it is still a lot slower than if someone can play to a level that make it look like if their foes are offering themselves as sacrifices for his/her progression.

    Hey UP_Hawxxeye

Would you prefer all gameplay-affecting attachments to be unlocked within the first 10–15 mastery levels, similar to Battlefield 2042, or would reducing the amount of XP required for each mastery level be a better solution? Thanks for sharing the feedback.

Imo the mastery is fine where it is since the tweaks and first 25 levels got made quicker.

It got considerably better since release, but going through the current crop of new guns, I also realize it's still quite slow. It can be mind numbing to grind 15 or 20 levels just to get the scope I want to use.

My take would be don't change the XP: getting the level 30 camo or the level 50 skin should require work. But unlocking all attachments should be done by level 15.

  • I made this point before the XP changes, and will continue to be confused by EA design choices even after.

The attachments shouldn't be a giant grind.  They should be all unlocked by around level 20 on a weapon, at least with the current XP.

While an improvement was made to XP, I still can't understand why they lowered cosmetic unlocks.  There must have been about 2% of players asking for the cosmetics to be easier to unlock, while 98% wanted easier attachments.  But we got easier cosmetics, and the XP change just made everything a little faster, kind of.

Good that they decided to lock the weapons out instead of their classic "we'll let this be broken an entire season then wonder why players are complaining about it."
