Todays Portal Update - lies - betrayed- theft

regarding the recent changes made to portal as well as planned changes. the removal of xp and progression when enabling bots.

absolute joke, you've lied and stole money!

this is not the game that was advertised and not wat i bought it for, as an older gamer i don't not have the skills to play PVP, i bought the game with some friends because it was advertised with full xp and progression with official portal servers using bots, not addition settings changed, just a official portal server, backfilled with bots, so some old gamers could have some fun. and now this has been taken away. many many people in the community were in the same position as us, and today you have doubled down. now this game for us is simply not worth playing. i know ea doesn't care as they already have the money.

you have lied to us

you have stole from us

you have betrayed us.

  • There was a post by EA_Shepard saying there were going to re-enable the XP and Progression however as far as I can tell they have not done this. Its quite dissapointing that there has been no Offical posts on this forum or the official news section explaining the plan. despite when they made the changes it said detailed information would be provided the next day....that was 2 days ago.

  • I struggle to understand the mentality of DICE's development team, who identify BF6's lack of variety in diverse official server modes as a serious deficiency to be addressed, but they will then opt to devalue the BF6 HC playing experience that a great many players demand, by stripping away the players ability to progress their weapons levels- in a game that features HEAVY weapon level grinding. This is a stupid problem to be having at all.

But instead we get pushed to use BF6's normal modes, but I don't want the BF6 'normal' experience, which has become warped from the experience I first enjoyed in BF2 & BF3.

I no longer get weapon progression because some putz at DICE-EA believed that playing Portal was a undesirable outcome for players. But Portal was pushed on to us as a substitute for players who wanted DICE to actually offer official support for popular game modes like hardcore. Like, who could've seen that coming right? Right????

Does the management team making these decisions wear clown hats and keep organ-grinders at the ready, and do they dance like monkeys, while making these arbitrary changes with which direction they want BF6 to go? Inquiring minds want to know.

Exactly how I feel. If they were going to do this, they should have done it from the start. The only acceptable course of action for them is to buy more server capacity and fulfill what they promised to the players and what the game launched on. One free persistent server for every person who bought the game, with full progression for all official experiences with backfill.

Waiting almost the full two weeks to make these changes is a **bleep**ing travesty. If this had been disabled from the start I would have been disappointed, refunded, and moved on. Now I'm out the full cost of the game because I've played more than Steam's refund period.

They could have restricted the settings that allowed maps with bots that have no health, no weapons, and don't move, they could have added AFK timers so that AFK farming would be far more difficult if not impossible. Instead now people who just wanted a casual experience against bots with any amount of XP gain are completely screwed with no recourse to get their money back.

  • Stop playing the game, they got their sales ... now all they care about is online numbers.
