Urgent Feedback on Battlefield 6 Weapon, Equipment, and Immersion Systems
Hello Battlefield Team,
I am writing as a long-time Battlefield fan, extremely frustrated by the current state of weapons, equipment, and tactical gameplay. While I appreciate the effort put into the game, the lack of depth in core mechanics is very disappointing.
Weapons:
Snipers: precision is imperfect, sound lacks depth and impact.
Heavy machine guns: limited audio impact, weak sensation of power.
Attachments: very restricted selection, missing options, superficial customization.
Mortars, drones, Javelins, etc., also lack options and depth.
Equipment and Soldier Customization:
Realistic soldier customization is minimal: vests, helmets, tactical gear, authentic class variations are missing.
Players want to feel stylish and tactical: a commando should look like a commando with proper tactical equipment—torch, laser, binoculars, knife—always within realism.
Snipers and other classes should have extensive possibilities without superficial cosmetic changes.
Gender choices should be optional; male players should not be forced to play as female characters.
Gameplay and Communication:
The radio system is a good start, but why not implement frequency channels or walkie-talkies with range limits? This allows communication within squads and across other squads, with a frequency lock for private comms.
Quick commands should be configurable for squad interactions such as "cover here," "move here," "mark position," etc.
Door interactions should have multiple options: open, place explosives, break down, use hammer, flash/fumigant, with realistic animations and resistance based on material (wood, metal, armored).
Environmental realism: projectiles should affect glass, optics, or helmets; weapons should jam or malfunction.
Squad Play and Tactical Coordination:
Squad sizes should be expanded to 8 players.
Map design should include urban, underground, and night-time environments for tactical challenges such as sewers or dark lots.
Support requests: as a medic, sniper, assault, or engineer, we are often pinned down by snipers on a hill. There should be a system to request air or ground support. Messages sent to pilots or tank crews, with confirmation, would allow coordinated strikes and foster real cooperation and immersion.
Maps and Environment:
More maps and environments are needed: night maps, urban lots, mountains, tunnels, etc.
Realistic night scenarios would allow proper use of lasers, torches, and thermal optics.
Conclusion:
For over 10 years, I have awaited a Battlefield sequel that surpasses BF3 in depth and realism. BF6 shows strong technical work but lacks attention to the fundamentals that make the series immersive: weapon variety, tactical depth, soldier customization, squad coordination, and realistic maps.
I hope this feedback is considered seriously by the development team. These core improvements could elevate Battlefield above all competitors and truly satisfy fans seeking realism and tactical depth.
Thank you for your attention,
