Bots can be great if they are improved upon
Most people have some sort of complaint about bots and it is largely because they arent helpful, or in some cases, are detrimental in matches. There are several things that can be done to improve them that shoudn't have much of an effect on the game balancing and will have a significantly positive effect on player experience.
1 - Bots should never play as Assult or Recon under any circumstances. If either of these classes are chosen by a bot, that bot is completely useless. I'd suggest a mix of 70-80% Support and 20-30% Engineer. All Support should have defibs+ammo packs and prioritize reviving+ammo drops. All Engineers should have RPGs and prioritize repairing friendly vehicles+destroying enemy ones.
2 - Bots should never drive light or heavy tanks. They get into them with crappy loadouts, spam smoke, and inevitably get the tank destroyed, severely harming the team.
3 - Bots should run (not sprint) to revive. The stupid walking backwards slowly thing that they do just gets them killed. They also give up on reviving if they are hit by a bullet or two, which is made much worse by the slow walk.
4 - Bots should never throw smoke, no matter what. They suck at placment and it actively hurts the team.
5 - Bots shouldn't support each other. Bots should revive, drop ammo, and repair vehicles for real players above all else.
If bots played a better support role, players would have much less to complain about. Bots are basically the only ones that drop ammo and revive consistently, so those two skills should be focused and improved on.
