Using same weapon in both loadouts

I would really love to be able to use the same weapon in both loadouts of the same class. I'm currently trying to level my snipers up, but it's annoying having to change attachments, because you can't equip the same weapon in both loadouts. I really enjoy both the short range and long range aspect of Battlefield, so I was looking to make the same weapon more short range orientated, and the other loadout more long range orientated.
